DÉGAINE is concerned with identity, the idea of the common and the body as representation.

ALLURE, SILHOUETTE, STYLE, CLOTHING, COMPOSURE, ATTITUDE, ATTRACTION, APPEARANCE, ORIGINALITY, MARGINALITY ...

And the rest : what escapes us, what we each carry unawares, our voices, our bodies : whatever the context or movement the Dégaine is hunted as MATERIAL and explored as OBJECT in the question of PRESENCE.

Concept development and collaboration between Marion Menan and Victor Dumont; artists and dancers living and working in Brussels. For each stage of the project DÉGAINE they occupy window spaces as their working arena. Used as studio, workshop, exhibition and living space, this set-up allows for visibility and continuous dialogue with the exterior.
